Rachael Nicholson is a sculptor working mainly in metal. She makes both abstract and figurative pieces based on organic and animal forms.
In her figurative work, Rachael is particularly interested in expressing the raw beauty and dynamism of wild animals. Much of her work incorporates recycled metal salvaged from farm land, beaches and scrap yards.
Her abstract work explores real and imaginary organic forms. She is interested in the way light can be structured and framed within forms.
Rachael Nicholson has lived and worked in Surrey since 2012, having previously lived in Cambridge and London.
